The robots took the jobs.
We kept the receipts.

Every significant 2026 layoff we can verify, AI-related or not, from state WARN notices, SEC filings, company statements and major outlets. Each one gets an AI score: how strongly the public evidence ties it to AI.

—
layoff events tracked in 2026
—
workers in events with a stated or filed headcount
—
workers in high-confidence AI events (score 70+)
—
events scoring 50+ (AI a likely driver)

How much of it is really AI?

Score distribution across all tracked events. Most layoffs are plain old closures, demand slumps and cost cuts. The robot would like the record to show it was not at the Tyson plant.

Layoff Risk Signals

A score built from public warning signs: rising AI spending, hiring freezes, "efficiency" talk on earnings calls, cuts at peer companies, and WARN notices. It tracks risk signals. It does not predict layoffs, and it isn't a statement about any one company's plans.

Disclaimer: GOT REPL(AI)CED? collects public records and reports for information and commentary. We are not affiliated with any company listed. The AI score summarizes public evidence using a fixed rubric; it is not a finding that AI did or did not cause any layoff. WARN figures are what employers filed and can differ from final job losses. Headcounts may include planned, multi-year, voluntary or partly redeployed roles. Nothing here is financial, legal, or employment advice. See a mistake? Tell us and we will fix it.
